    which cars are these?

Well iv always wanted a mini, and the insurance is like 1200 which is ok. But i cant really afford much more than 5 grand. But all the ones below have do 70000+ miles. Which is shit.

Then i was looking at a vauxhall tigra, but the insurance on them is like 2 grand+

And i also looked at a streetKA but again, 3grand insurance.

    sucks

people will tell you thats a bad way of doing it but i was on my fathers for 5 years and saved a fortune so im all for it. where as insurance was about £1300 in my name, as a named driver on my fathers it was only £400ish. if you do go this route make sure the car is bought in your mothers name.

    You using something like confused.com?

IMO i'd avoid those sites, i tried it a couple weeks back for a quote on my new car, cheapest was £1700 going upto £3000+. Was pretty rubbish.

Went onto some sites individually and got quotes manually from each site.. around £800.

Oooo really? Il try that. I just though the ones where they did all the quotes were better.

    Ive personally found that yeah.

I actually had my current insurer on the confused.com list quoting me about £2200 Yet when I did a quote on the insurer's actual website, i got £800-something.
