    Here we go again.

Personally i wouldn't have one, but i think it's the woman's right to choose, if she feels she wouldn't be able to look after and support it adequately then surely it's better for her to wait till she is.

After all, accidents happen no matter how much protection is used, sometimes it just doesn't work.

Pick a star on the horizon

    And follow the light

You'll come back when it's over

    No need to say goodbye.

Rest in Peace Victoria & Will, always loved and missed, never forgotten xxx

but don't you think that embryo/fetus has the right to life? I mean, all accidents don't end up becoming disasters.

If a woman is raped then I can empathize and understand why she would want an abortion, not being thrilled at the prospect of bringing up her attacker's child.

I also have a real problem with the Catholic church telling people they shouldn't use contraception, because it prevents life Bollocks. Leads to more STD's being spread also.

Generally speaking though, I think if a girl just makes a mistake and gets pregnant she should be obligated to have the child. If she gets drunk and ends up pregnant she should be responsible enough to deal with the consequences.

I think you've misinterpreted that. The Catholic church does not believe in premarital sex, so why would they tell people (unmarried couples) to not use contraception while being sexually active... and if they are, then that statement is probably to married couples that are using contraception. I think that makes sense... pretty much.

Yeah because a female can impregnate herself.

What if the condom breaks? Is that her problem also?

Yeah, I see your point and what you're getting at, but the thing is they know that their views are ideals and that in the real world pre-marital sex is rampant.

Knowing this, they should acknowledge the fact that it happens and stop spouting the "no contraception" thing.

Don't get me wrong I see what you're saying, but they should be more practical in their views. That's fair enough if most Christians abided by their "rules", but they don't.

    That's different.

I'm not havign a go at women by the way, I should have made myself clearer - the man should accept responsibility for the baby also.

I dont think anyone can comment until they are in the situation. Lots of factors as to why someone would want one , raped, severely handicapped child etc etc .

I personally wouldn't have one but never having been in that situation i cant say for sure!

I think it's down to the circumstances at the time.
