i mean the fact that hes dead it means you have to justify why its good n not cos hes dead

I don't think anyone said he was bad in it. Just he doesn't deserve an oscar or should be regarded an amazing actor over one movie. His other ones were pretty mediocre IMO TBH.

Just been to see it again haha.  One thing that does annoy me about it, is the fight scenes, especially the one in that building towards the end.  The shots are too quick and you can't even tell what's going on half the time, which makes the fighting lose any impact and becomes boring.  Some proper hard-hitting violence would be nice, but they've gotta cater for the kids! Grrr.

    Quality.

Few unbelievable instances that can be argued why they would have been possible but certainly not plausible. Didn't annoy enough to ruin the film like it has in other superhero films.

As for the Heath & Jack debate. IMO Nicholson's face suits Joker perfectly, but both acting performances portrayed what they should have done, both genius. Whatever happens in the storyline has nothing to do with acting ability, so the bath of acid and murdering parents plots isn't in the equation.

So yeah, great film a definate watch.

Great movie, enjoyed every minute. Interesting to hear people saying that Heath Ledgers performance wasn't as good as people said just because he is dead. You can claim the reverse and say the people are more critical about his performance because he is dead so they don't to the hype. Being dead has nothing to do with the fact that Heath Ledger played a amazing part.

Everything about his Joker made want to watch and understand his character more and was more intense/sinister for me. Where Nicholson Joker as great to watch and fun, so to me it really depends on what you are in the mood for.

I personally think he will be nominated for a Oscar (Heath Ledger) win it or not is a different story we will have to see what other films are coming out that will somehow out do that acting he did in The Dark Knight.

I don't believe I am over selling his performance at all and the fact I would go and see that movie again because of that character tells me he has done a great job. I wouldn't usually go and see a movie several times to very rare.

Yeah, i thought that too, all over too quickly as well, like whack wallop dead hehe as u say, gotta cater for the kids, make it a 12A so they can make more money out of it...shame!

Great film =] finally watched it today, Heaths performance was excellent, had me smiling everytime he was up on screen =] all this nonsense about his performance being inflated cos of his death...bullshit lol loved the bit of him as a nurse, and blowing up the hospital, way he walked out of it as it was blowing up was fantastic hehe

Batmans voice tho....its got worse! It was frankly awful tbh!

Also a bit too long for my liking, sore arse! But was as good as I expected

Finally went to see this earlier and it was good...mainly because of the Joker. Without him, it would have been average, I feel. Ledger did a great job...funny and menacing done to perfection.

I had a few gripes though. What in the actual fuck is up with the Bat voice? I just don't get why they do it and as someone said earlier there was a hint of a lisp at times. Also, the whole 'sonar' thing pissed me off too. Michael Caine - cunt (I don't like him). I wasn't too impressed with the Harvey Dent/Two face thing either. It seemed rather rushed.

All in all it was a decent film, and very enjoyable but not as amazing as everyone is saying. I could watch it again, just for the Joker.
