I used to use netbeans, but havent done any programming for a long while and tried downloading netbeans earlier but it failed 3 times.
Not too bothered on the complexity of the programme as I basically cant remember much of the java language, would just like a refresher on it.

You should look around the web at things made in it. It uses java but in a way most people don't realise it can be used.
