It has a few simularitys but pretty much different game, Also its more 'of a girls sport' because they all wear padding. Still brings some heavy hits though

the padding means they can tackle harder and be more agressive, thing is doesnt that make it more into "lets wait for the next tackle" rather than "awesome try, good run" type thing? it it makes sense

Its not like rugby with the having to run for a try. They just have 2 push 10yards or further up the field with each down. So big tackles usually pop up all game.

I not familiar with Rugby, but watching these videos made me laugh my ass off. It reminds me of playing Kill the Man with the Ball when I was a kid. It does seem to be more exciting than the constant start and stop with football.

These players wouldn't survive in the NFL without padding. Some of those linemen are 325 lbs or more. You could break a bone just having one of those guys land on you.

    Nothing is duller than soccer!

I beg to differ......Baseball by a country mile is duller than football.

Also I could happily watch clips of big tackles in NFL, but never sit through a whole game....Having to wait 5 minutes for them to run 10 yards or so......Great.
