I loved my uni at first but now I'm slowly starting to hate it.

Anyone else been in this situation, did you leave? would you leave?

Did you stick it out and move to a diff uni for your 2nd year?

What would you do because it's fucking doing my head in.

I haven't had the best of times since the start, i'm in accommodation i hate and i feel so thick compared to others on my course.

But i've stuck it out so far, now i'm moving to a much nicer accommodation, and i got my first essay back for one of my modules today which i recieved a 2:1 for, 5% off a 1st so i'm really chuffed.

Wait till after christmas at least, if you're still not happy ask your tutor for guidance of your options.

You'll come back when it's over

    No need to say goodbye.

I'm in the same situation as you.

I only started this year, but I hate it already.

I hate the course, I don't get on with my flatmates and i found it really hard to make mates with anyone.

I haven't been in for three weeks, and I still don't know wether to stick it out till the end of the year or just move back home. I love the city I'm living in now though and going back home would seem so shit compared to here.

I'm applying for a different course at a uni in London next year though, so hopefully that should be ok. I don't want to leave Leeds though

Some of you guys should consider the Open University, it's very reputable, and allows you to study from home at your own pace.

The course is just dull. I enjoy psychology alot but they don't make it any easier by dull monotone lectures. The people arn't that bad to get on with but they're just not like me they're happy enough to spend alot of time in their room on the net whereas i want to be up and doing something all time partying etc and ive met about 2 people that are up for it but they're both on about leaving for same reasons im starting to hate it. ;\

If I were you i'd try stick with it and hopefully it'll get better.

For example Kumquat looks to have felt a similar feeling and is now doing well (well done btw!)

I really enjoyed uni for the most part, well, apart from when I was getting swamped with work in third year!  Have you looked into joining any clubs / societies etc?  I only have experience of being in a male sports (football) club at uni, so i don't have first-hand knowledge of what the social society clubs are like, but in general it's a good chance to meet more like-minded people if you can find something you're interested in, maybe?
