there is no set time, i once ended a relationship and moved on perfectly half a hour after it. but another time it took me ten months to get over a different relationship properly. depends how you end and how much you loved them i think. and how you go about it afterwards can effect this, like if you rush into another rel, you move on fast but you havent really, youve just put your feelings of your ex onto another person. or if you bottle feelings up it can take even longer to get over them when it unbottles. best thing to do is just allow yourself time to get over it, no matter how long it takes. its better than thinking youve moved on than have it slap you back in your face months down the line.
