    basically trying to keep the kids off the street as you do not have to go to college after 16, and apparently thats where most anti-social offences are caused by teenagers

    They should make it till 18. It will benefit the system in the end. People won't have to struggle with unemployment leading to benefit grabbing. You sometimes have to spend money to save more money in the long run.

    Good idea to be honest. I dont think you have to stay in school unless you stay at 6th form but you have to go into some education. So they will force people into apprentaships etc which is good because people will be working rather then scrounging the streets drinking booze and causing distruptions and then going no where in life.. i dont see why anyone could be against this... it benefits everyone

    Over here, you can choose to drop out of school at 16, but if you do that here, there is no way you'll get a job and earn enough money to live on your own. The higher the education you have here, the more money you can earn with a career.
