yeah pretty much , i cant deny some of their talents , but its still over exposure and selling out
Nothing wrong with wanting to make a bit of extra cash.

its not what tattoing is about though
its media source has always been conventions , magazines and word of mouth
u can experience great art anywhere , so why are they so special to have their own show ?
it litreally makes no sense

it makes sense for them to become way bigger than they are n shit on everyone else in the industry i dont think so
how many pounds would every tattoo studio in the world make , for the mention of miami ink or kat von d on a day to day basis

I'm pretty sure everyone else in "the industry" would've took the offer of a TV show.

i view it as selling out as soon as they get bigger than the art form itself , as soon as they turn into a celebrity tattoo artist then thats enough for me

Thats like saying Elton John is a sellout.

i just think ppl should take the time to study other artists based on their actual art
instead of constantly refering to the same old faces they see on tv , their not the best in the world by a long shot , but are held so high because of their fame
theirs tons and tons of artists that would run rings around them , and thats all i have to say on the matter
u can carry on thinking that miami ink and all them other shit shows are the best artistry out their but it really isnt
I love you...
