You don't have to kill someone to protect your property.
Possibly injure them, but as long as they don't come at you with a knife, ring the police.Melissa.

Being killed for trespassing is a bit extreme
the punishment much outweighs the crimeThe punishment wouldn't occur if the crime was not commited.

Using that sort of justification could apply to the most outrageous of situations
E.G. I was sitting next to someone in class who stole my pencil and wasn't going to give it back, so I shoved a pen in his eye.
Well I wouldn't have shoved the pen in his eye is he hadn't stolen my pencil.Last edited by Amelia., Wed 20th Aug 2008, 11:05 pm.- It shouldn't ever be legal to intentionally take someone's life.

- If somebody trespasses onto my property, already having been warned not to trespass, they deserve to get shot.

Agree to disagree
The end.- This is not a agree to disagree discussion, it is nothing but logic once again.**********Warning the above post may contain irony, lies or outright sarcasm**********

Taking someone else's life shouldn't be "legal" as such, but if it's entirely necessary, then fine.
You don't have to kill to get out of anything, you can injure or wound instead, buying you time.
Only professionals can have that control or a background in martial arts or other fighting techinques. If a random person gets into a situation they don't have a clue what can or won't kill someone.
On Topic: I would kill to protect myself and family, friends, gf. It has to be a specific intense situation for me to do it. If I can get away with only break some arms, legs then I would take that. Last resort to kill and its acceptable to kill in my book in obviously life threatening situations.
Not sure why people don't think its acceptable to kill. The difference is law prosecutes people that kill with unnecessary motives.
