McCain vs Obama

    So, the elections aren't that far away, the candidates have chosen their running mates and the whole world will be waiting for the results.

    Recent polls are all follows

    On average Obama is leading as you can see.

    Also, according to The Economist, McCain needs roughly 55% on independant voters and 15% of Demcocratic voters to win, but according to a poll by Rasmussen, that picking Palin made 31% of undecided voters less likely to vote for him and only 6% more likely.  

    So, what are your views on this.

    I hope that Obama wins so I cal LOL @ all the people faces who are calling America a disgustingly racist country and that Obama would never win. Ignoring the fact that no other country has an ethnic minority presidential nominee (who beat all others in his party), and also an thnic Secretary of State (or equivalent)

    I'd hate for a person to be elected simply because they are of a different colour. But the liberals in this country and throughout Europe have already decided if Obama loses the election it will not be due to his lack of experience and the fact he has nothing but the word change coming out of his mouth, it will be because he is black.

    I'd hate that too, but I dont think he'll win just because he's black.

    There are two main reasons, one is that he will win becuase McCain is a republican and lot of Americans are sick of them.

    And second, becuase of his silver tongue and a centrist stance, that will capture a lot more of the swing/undecided voters than McCain can, since esp a lot of independants view him as too Bush like.

    However, McCain has lot more experience, he is a war vet that suffered for his country and he seems to have a lot more substance.

    Unfortunately, a lot of the swing voters are irrational, they vote for the charecter of the person rather than their policies.

    McCain will be the one to take us into World War 3. I don't like him. Plus hes a shit speaker. I was watching his official nominee speech, and fuck me it was shite. All he kept on going on about was his war veteran shit and how he was a POW and it made him a better man. He was saying that if he becomes President, he vows to take revenge on those that took him hostage, and others (not in those words). The mans got a serious chip on his shoulder.

    I would prefer Obama to win obv. I don't give a shit what colour he is, but anyone is better than McCain.

    I have a feeling Obama might just take it, especially after McCains blunder on the stock market crash. He's lost a lot of confidence. Nub.
