It's good that Erol isn't on the list. Would you want to see some scrawny little chav bastard in an E.R.O.L shirt ? That's what would happen if all the underground filth that a lot of us listen too became mainstream. This poll is such a piss take. This years results proove that people who vote don't actually have a fucking clue. Bear in mind that this is a Top 100 DJ poll.

    • Daft Punk don't DJ.
    • Booka Shade don't DJ.
    • Woody Van Eyden & Alex M.O.R.P.H are a production duo and DJ seperately 99.9% of the time.
    • Deep Dish haven't been a duo for a good 18months. They've seperated for now to focus on solo work. Hence Dubfire being Number 30.
    • Paul Oakenfold is such an egotistical cunt he thinks he can do 2 gigs a year and call himself a DJ.

Only 2 of my 5 votes got in the list. Chris Liebing & Dubfire. No mention of Stephan Bodzin, Oliver  Huntemann or Fergie, not even in the top 150 from what I can remember. It's a pure marketing ploy.

    Pfft !!

I would have at least expected Sean Tyas in top 50

    Laidback Luke in top 20

    & SVD in top 5/10

It takes the piss... but then again coming from where I do, if I mentioned these names on the street people would be like 'The fuck is that'

It sucks tbh, cos they do have some good nights here, but I wish we could have the likes of SVD, Laidback Luke etc instead of the same old Mark EG [who a majority go to see cos they think it's 'cool' so it's full of complete and utter toss pots] if we had SVD people wouldn't have a clue who he was and therefore ticket prices would be mega.

Few years back, before I was able to get in to the club we had Fergie

Mention Fergie to anyne I know they'll think of a football manager or that tart from the Blackeyed Peas lol. You even get people on Fergie's website who love BEP thinking they're in the right place. It's shite not getting good line-ups down here. London is the nearest a lot of the people I wanna see play and even then that's 2/3 times a year. Dubfire in Manchester is my only New Year possibility which is a 4hr car journey on my own with work the same morning as the club closes.

Aye not many people have heard of fergie here either, all the people who went to the club years ago have grown up, had kids & don't have time to get out there now.

Kutski is becoming the big name here again, though he started off as a residency in our club years back, before getting on to radio.

Liverpool/Manchester/Sheffield are the closest places for top names I think, unless the tidy weekender is on..which I haven't been to and doubt I will ever go to it

As has been established... it's mainly people who have no clue about music that has voted.. they just heard the name.

This is why Armin Van Buuren gets so much bummage...if anyone went to a recent set of his and listened...he's complete bollocks!!

Pretty much the same round here as well.  When I was at college, I was the only person that liked Dance music (well Trance/House/Techno).  All the guys bummed Indie music and all they would say is the usual 'It all sounds the same'.  As if they were a musician themselves.

There were a couple of girls that liked Dance music, but it was stuff like Cascada, etc.  When they found out I had some decks and liked mixing, they were like 'Awww wow! Do you mix stuff like Cascada and that?' I was sat there with a long face on.

    I'd have bitch slapped them

I wouldn't even put Cascada and the likes in the same category as dance music, it's more pop
