Rise Against
Manic Street Preachers

Just because they are the only two bands that have been favourites of mine forever & I love all of their songs.

1) Kasabian - because they remind me of matchday.

2) Primal Scream - because they're shit hot

3) Kaiser Chiefs - same reason as Kasabian

Meshuggah - Intelligent people playing interesting music
Opeth - Intelligent people playing interesting music
Dream Theater - Intelligent people playing interesting music

Everyone else is a poor imitation of the above, in some form.

Bruce Springsteen and the ESB - he's undoubtedly one of, if not the, best songwriters to have graced my ears. He's also a great performer live, and when you've got people like Max Weinberg, Nils Lofgren and Stevie van der Zandt in your band you're gonna sound good.

Also Frank Turner is a personal favourite and I love his music, but I can't say that his orchestration is anywhere near as good as the likes of Bruce Springsteen. Still writes good music, though.

I never really follow bands, or look at their image and like them that way, it's more about whether, overall, they tick the right boxes for me with their music. I wouldn't list a band that I only liked one of their albums and I wouldn't buy a band's album just because I'm a 'fan' - I have to actually like enough songs on the album.

A few are:

Blink 182

The Ataris

Offspring
