The 17-month-old boy - known only as Baby P - suffered injuries similar to the "force of a car crash".

Just two days before the boy was found dead in his blood-spattered cot, a doctor failed to spot his broken spine.

And police told the mother she would not be prosecuted after being arrested twice for suspected child cruelty.

The toddler was found dead in his home in north London on August 3 last year.

What on earth makes someone do this to a baby?

    Its heartbreaking !

in cases of child abuse and murder i think the death penalty should be in place. absolutely sick how someone can do that to any child, let alone their own child.

    I'm sorry, I don't speak pineapple.

Because you can't always see a broken bone to the naked eye.

My mum said that I agree with you. Its fucking sick how anybody can bring a child into the world and treat it like that its not on at all. There are people that cant have kids that would look after them and do anything to have one then theres people like them. There should be a death penalty for stuff like this. The sick bastards.

i think its absolutely horrific and also fact that a doctor never noticed this, yeah all broken bones arent visible to the naked eye surely the doctor would have seen that the child was in discomfort. :/

Where are all the good looking guys?

    About ten drinks away

She also had bite marks all over but they were covered in chocolate to conceal. And a hospital at one point noticed and recommended the the baby been taken by social services however social services overruled this decision saying there was no evidence to abuse! Even though social workers had been to the house and witnessed the abuse.

Seriously this is one of the most sickening things i have ever heard. However i think i am more sickened that i am not shocked by this news?
