Maybe it's just me, but the gameplay in this game is fucking bollocks. Too slow, unresponsive, terrible artificial intelligence. PES 2008 wasn't up to much on PS3 but it was definitely better than this shit.

I'll still play it simply because I paid £20 for it, but it's absolute wank. I won't even go into the sound and graphics because those aspects have always been sorely lacking in Konami's football games.

Be a Legend mode is poor as well, I never know whether to have the camera follow me or the ball, as both have their disadvantages. I don't know what this mode is like on FIFA but it's terrible on Pro Evo. My team-mates won't even pass me the ball (I'm a striker) when I make a clear run in on goal.

I'm wary of going online as well in case it lags like fuck.

Pro Evo 4 (the one with Henry and Totti on the cover) is easily the best football game ever, and every year since then this series has got progressively worse. What the fuck are Konami playing at?

Like you, I mainly buy football games for the online component, so it sounds like I'm gonna be really pissed off when I finally venture online.

On the new 1, If your playing the computer they only go into tackle you if your sprinting, if you dont press the sprint button they just back off, then all you have to do is take it round the defender on the edge of the box and score, I was beating barcelona in the semi finals of the champions league like 9-1 on aggregrate, quite shit really...I was just taking the ball from the half way line with 1 player and scoring even with 8 defenders infront of me.

I dont really have a problem with the passing on this game, though sometimes towards the end of a games the passes start to go astray but i put that down to the players being tired or something?

I havnt played fifa in like 5 years because that was ridiculously easy, winning games like 30-0, i might have to give it a go

I have just noticed that the game is slow as fuck. I enjoyed it at first but the novelty soon wore off. I'm gonna give it a blast again within the next hour to see if maybe I'm being too harsh here.

I might buy FIFA this year, because it is at least improving, whereas Pro Evo is going backwards in my opinion. Pro Evo 4 was brilliant, I'm considering dusting off the original xbox and playing it because at least I will get a good game of football.

People who have never played the game don't realise how unrealistic the last few pros have been.

My camera is always set to wid eon pro evo anyway. I have been using player camera more regularly than ball camera.

I just can't get into the mode, though.
