Have any of you lot that have a Playstation 3 received a code via an email from Sony that will give you access to use Playstation Home?
I was just looking around on this forum that I used to use and there is a thread there about the Public Beta release of Playstation Home and how Sony have/are sending out emails to Playstation users so that they can use Playstation Home now to get a preview of what it's like. Everybody on that forum seems to have received a code, or have found a way to get into Home and it's making me jealous because they're talking about sitting in their apartments with their online buddies and talking to, and meeting new people.
If anyone like me hasn't got an email yet, then the Public Beta of Home is going to be released in a couple of weeks, apparently.

I heard a bit ago you could download a theme from the shop that gave you access to the beta version... im not sure if that is true.. I hope it isnt a download tho.. its going to be massive when it comes out.

I heard that too, I never downloaded it though, lol. I'll probably leave it on over night and I'll wake up in the morning and it'll be on 2% or something, haha.

I got the code, apparently I'm a valed customer to the Playstation Network which is funny considering i've never bought anything off it and just downloaded freebies. Anyway only takes a short time to download and install after activating it via account management. The first thing u get to do is create ur character, seems pretty detailed not much in the way of choice of clothes but I guess if u want more you have to splash the cash in the online shopping mall. At the moment all the shops don't have anything in it. Highlight for me so far is the bowling alley, which houses some arcade games aswell as pool tables. Loads of weirdo's on there at the mo, e.g russians and germans babling high picthed crap down there headsets, lol.

Ive not touched my PS3 in months yet i got an access code about an hour ago. Home isn't to bad but i don't think its going to be the next big thing for the PS3, il stick with second life.

I got a code and it is quite funny seeing people doing stupid stuff in Home. The only bad thing is the lag but hey it is a BETA after all. And I don't know where you got those screenshots because there is nowhere like that in the BETA. I think they are from the Jap BETA.

i didn't have any lag just got sick of downloading every area i wanted to go to, and downloads are always so slow from sony. I download 50meg in 25seconds on my computer and it takes about 15min through the PS3 on everything i download. Sucks bad but i just found home a little boring in no time at all. I guess the full release might have more areas that require slow downloading to your hard drive that might make it better? maybe?

The lag is only when I load the area up. And you only have to download each area once. At the moment home is only good for dancing lol !!!
