Interesting. I was always under the impression that Porsche were part of the marques that the VAG group owned.

    Learn something new everyday.

I thought Porsche was part of the VW group as well. What I find incredible is that with VW groups accumulated wealth through all the other marques they own, Porsche AG are the ones staking VW group.

Coming to a Porsche showroom near you soon..

Rumours of a 3.6 litre twin-turbo remain unconfirmed

But it'll be interesting to see where Porsche takes things from here.

I'm sad to hear of this.  Porsche must have some real money to be able to look at buying them.  VAG have always made excellent, if not overpriced, cars.. I hope the Porsche buyout - should it happen - be uneventful, as I really dislike Porsche's in general (other than the Cayman and Carrerra GT.)

    ?

    ?

Though id say porsche need to fire their design team and actually come up with a 911 that doesnt look 99.9% identical to its predecessor.

Couldn't be any worse than Ferraris design team at the minute. Seriously. Seen the new Ferrari California?

It looks like it needs a wagging tail and that it just wants a great big hug.  That said.. I'm sure it'll still turn heads.  Not like a Gallardo does, but still..

I agree tbh, most of them have made some pretty uninspiring cars as of late. I think the 355 was the last Ferrari I remember as being worthy of the badge for its appearance at least.

Porsche have some serious money though. The owner of porsche has been on the board of VAG for some time now though hasnt he? I was under the impression that porsche had pretty much controlled VAG for the past year at least anyway.

I dont care what anyone says about 911's looking the same, I love them. It's a timeless shape, and perfect in everyway.

Give me an RUF RT12 anyday.
