BFF.

I'd just like to say that it's actually very rare that I knowingly troll on here, despite being accused of it all of the time. Like, why is saying that I don't like someone mean that i'm trolling? Am I not allowed to dislike someone?

Can't stand the whole troll phenomenon. I wish it would piss off, because it's painfully unfunny the majority of the time, especially on here where it's usually so obvious. Up there with copy and pasting 4chan pictures or other tired memes into threads repeatedly and pretending to be funny.

I never accused you of trolling. I inadvertantly typed your name into my original post purely cos I was thinking of you at the time. Nothing else.... I was not in any way insinuating that you occasionally troll.

Pure typo... nothing else

that's off topic Lisa. Without an explanation behind your post, you're basically just spamming. Please try and set a better example in future smilie_rolleyes.gif

Trolls are boring IMO, spending time trying to wind others up over a computer screen is sad.

I think people are missing the point though.
What do you all actually consider trolling?
Seems to be sometimes that if someone posts something everyone disagrees with, then the automatic reaction is to acuse them of trolling

Trolling to me is purposely saying things that you know will get peoples back up and get a reaction however that could be confused with attention seeking.

Oh and Damian...fuck off

Same for me, as well as telling blatent lies in order to back up statements or to wind people up.

I.e I can lift 500 pounds but I have a bad knee/back

but what if the poster actually believes that they're right and refuses to back down? They might have a controversial opinion on something (ie Gingers have no souls) but they could genuinely believe that. Would you class that as trolling or just being passionate about the subject?

Gingers having no souls = trolling.
Admiring Hitler's intelligence and Nazi ideals = not trolling*.

One *can* be backed up with facts of some sort (even if you don't agree, or can find evidence suggesting otherwise), the other is just a poor attempt at being funny.

*provided it is your opinion and not just an attempt to wind people up.
