My favourite art movement is surrealism.

It's just so damn good. I'm actually obsessed.

i wish I'd done art history at uni now

I'm also a fan of Dadaism.

    YAY.

    Why do you like surrealism?

Me and my bro Matt, when drunk, were having a discussion that Art is shit nowadays and hasnt been good in a very long time. I can't remember the name of the artist but he painted the body of christ as a decaying corpse* and at the time, it was a very controversial thing to do because people said christs body should be raised above everything else and glowing etc. Not only that, he actually got a decaying corpse, set it in front of him and painted it. The actual painting was great too. So the work, talent and message were all there in his piece... nowadays tho, what's classified as "art" is fucking ridiculous. It seems to me people concentrate too much on being so "out there" and gettin a pretentious message across (instead of a real message) that they don't concentrate on putting the work in...for instance, our most famous artist in years uses stencils... I hate surrealism too. I hate when people say things like "art movement" and "grab lunch" (sorry Xan, but it makes me cringe). I'm not a big fan of Art but i like bits and pieces...

    *Found it

Look at the detail in that... fuckin fantastic... Now look at this by artist "Rothko" who is currently on display in the Tate modern....

hmmm... he's done other great pieces such as...

    Hang on a minute...

Modern art is cheap tat that only the most pretentious of people fawn over.

"I think it's an endearing piece, that emphasises the loving bond between man and woman".

    "It's an unmade bed, mate".

"Psssh" *finger snap, twirl and strut away*.

I've never laughed so much as when I went to the Tate Modern.

'Oh is this the kids section?'

'This is just a canvas painted red'

Give me a sexy landscape painted by Bob Ross anyday over that pretentious toss.

'...and now i'm gunna add a happy little tree.'

    Read my BLOGS please kids.
