Cheapest to buy (lowest first): Corsa, 206, Fiesta Zetec, Golf.. generally speaking.

To run (lowest first): Corsa, Fiesta, 206, Golf... again generally speaking.

To insure (lowest first):  Corsa, Fiesta, 206, Golf..

    You see a pattern emerging?

I'd rather have the Riva than a Golf/Corsa/Saxo etc.

Advoid anything french or small and generally driven by chavs.

That leaves you with a golf.

Id also look into Lupos, Polos aswel as the golf.

German reliability and build quality will take you a long way and save you alot in the long run. =]

the best lupo for a comprimise on economy and price would be the 1.4 tdi sport.

pretty quick little things and the insurance is usually cheap! and taax is even better lol

Trust the ex-soviet to bring the Lada into it.

Corsa's are hot. and quite quick for a first car - even the 1.2 will go okay.

Hmm, I always preferred the Skodas of this time personally - The Rapid Coupe pretty much had the same layout as a Porshe 911, believe it or not - Although, if my memory serves me correctly, it was based on the Renault Dauphine..

Skoda Rapid 135 Turbo was the one to have, but I have seen some seriously modded cars though - eg Street machine, Project Bottle Rocket...

Anyways, should you not be intersted in this mean little motor.. try a 3 door Suzuki swift - funky, chunky li'l thang...

You see that.. That's you that is... :D :D :D

I know so many people with a 206..and tbh they are a piece of shite.

Everything that can possibly go wrong does !

I got a saxo, not the best car in the world, but haven't had anything wrong with it, and my MOT was only £50 !!!

    You bunch of twats.
