Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 9:17 am anyone else get these constantly!!! i get them all the time and its really getting me down now! and its not just a little bit of pain, i get kidney pain and needing the feeling of going to the toilet all the time but reallly painful!! 
and sometimes im even crying in pain and being sick with a temp! ive been living on anitbiotics because of these! 
doctors soo dont give a shit!

Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 9:51 am if its that bad you may need to see a specialist, i know what you mean there bloody useless! My glands constantly swell up in my neck and my throat bloody kills feels like drinking acid its that bad! yet they wont do anything about it because theres no apparent infection its apparently just my immune system doing a good job...PAH! watever id love them to wake up feeling like theyve just munched a bunch of nettles!
Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 10:56 am I had a water infection every 3 weeks or so, a week before I were due on usually.
I were asked by my doctor if I was having really rampant sex 
when I said no he told me hard sex can flare it up and to go to the loo before and after sex.
He did a water test on me that shown I had a kidney infection. Over the next few days I were in agony with my back and started to piss blood. Anti-biotics cleared it up. Never had one since.

At the moment they reckon i have cistitis too, which means i'm taking these stupid sodium citrate sachets 3 times a day that taste awful.
But... Its working! Yay.

nahh ive had them all the time since i was like 15. the 1st one i ever had i went to hosp. my mam thought i had just pulled muscles in my back because i had been horse riding a few days before.. but really it was my kidneys in pain. i left it and woke up one morn and was sick everywhere, i was being sick constantly soo much i was dehydrated and nearly collapsed, had to go hosp only time ive ever been. im sure they are damaged from that 2bh.. soo i can get infections really easily..

Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 8:44 pm once you have had a kideney infection your prone to it (so docs say) but i do things to cut the risk as im fairly prone to water infections.
eating live yoghurt everyday
drink cranberry juice or take cranberry supplements
drink lots of water
wipe your fanny towards your anus after peeing
have a wee after sex
if you feel symptoms coming on put some cytsis reliefe in a bottle of water (works wonders)
Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 10:40 pm My mates got kidney stones at the moment, there quite bad she is in lots of pain and keeps being sick.
At first we thought it was a water infection.
She has been put on tablets, if they don't help she has to have them removed.

Posted: Wed 20th Aug 2008, 10:54 pm yes i had shit loads when i was pregnant, never had one when i havent been pregnant.
they were bad! its like early labour pains at times
i went to hospital for mine, but didnt do anything, 16 weeks later, i had pee test sent off from midwife, they decided to give me antibiotics.
could see doctor and ask for some, as they do fix the problem within the week, never returned after that.
