I enjoy books by both of these 2, but for me McNab just edges it. I tend to get put off by Ryan's constant attempts at being a celebrity. I know that's not a basis for judging a book but its not just that, McNab's seem to be more technically accurate than Ryan's so he takes it due to that.

Rumour has it that neither of them actually WRITE the books themselves, (Lee Child is rumoured to write McNab's) they provide a plot outline and technical details and someone else puts the story together but even so, they both provide cracking reads.

Do you have a preference or not?

Only read one Ryan book and it didnt do much for me.

But I might give it a go again, which one of his books would you recommend to start with?
