500 internal server errors are not what I need when making a thread like this.

I miss the old days of the Longpigs, Shed Seven, B & S, Cast, Dodgy, Dandy Warhols, Feeder, Weezer, dEUS, Gomez, Lowgold....etc....etc....

Indie died a few years ago, sad.

    ^^^^^ What this man said.

To me real indie is any of Suede, Gene, Cast, James, 3 Colours Red, Longpigs, Dodgy, The Seahorses, Menswear, Pulp, Shed Seven, The Charlatans, Levellers, etc.

Basically, anything off of the old "Shine" albums that used to be around during the 90's.

I still can't post YouTube vids on here anymore for some reason. Why the hell that original way of doing it was twatted about with I don't know.

Levellers. There's a band I haven't heard in years. I used to steal my big brothers Levelling the land album and listen to it over and over. I was about 6 or 7 at the time. Bloody good album that as far as I remember.

    Great album that!

Going back even further than the ones I listed you had your Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine, Inspiral Carpets, Jesus Jones, etc, most of which had some good b-sides as well.

Loved Carter USM, again was my brother who introduced them to me. They got together last year for a one off gig and it proved so popular they're doing another two on the 21st and 22nd of November. All sold out and I don't live on the mainland Although I do have the 30 something T-shirt. So I make do Carters covers were ace, Rent (Pet Shop Boys) and This is how it feels (Inspiral Carpets).

The 7-inch vinyl single of Carter USM "The Only Living Boy In New Cross" has the image of a penis on the record itself wearing a rubber johnny. Some form of campaign to safe-sex / dangers of AIDS according to the sleeve. I'm sure you already know that "Panic" [Smiths cover] was the b-side to that one.

lmao, that's awesome. Unfortunately never had any vinyl carter stuff, or maybe I was fortunate. It was all on CD. Slowly they disappeared over the years. I'd put the CD on when I had mates over drinking, gaming or whatever, they'd borrow it and I never got it back. I think I'd be pretty pissed if they half inched rare vinyl on me. The last one I managed to keep, 101 Damnations eventually gave up playing a couple years back. When I get the cash, I'll probably reorder the complete official discography again. I say official as there's shitloads of bootlegs out there.

Well done Bucho, keep 'em coming.  This song brings back so much memories, it's unreal.  Used to have this album, but it could be anywhere now to be honest.  Wouldn't mind giving it a listen again.

The real video is taking ages to load, and isn't even the full version.

I have a lot of time for Jason Pierce.
